بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡبُرُوجِ
Was- sa-maa-i dzaa-til- bu-roo-j
By the Sky (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِ
Wal-yau-mil- mau- 'ood
By the promised Day (of Judgment
وَشَاهِدٍ۬ وَمَشۡہُودٍ۬
Wash-shaa-hi diw-wa-mash -hoo-d
By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness
قُتِلَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِ
Qu-ti-la asw-Haa-bul- ukh- doo-d
Woe to the makers of the pit (of Fire
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡوَقُودِ
An-naa- ri-dzaa-til wa-qoo-d
Fire supplied (abundantly) with Fuel
إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡہَا قُعُودٌ۬
Idz-hum 'alay-haa qu-'oo-d
Behold! they sat over against the (fire
وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُہُودٌ۬
Wa-hum - 'alaa- maa- yaf-'aluu
-na bil mu'minii-na shu-hoo-d
And they witnessed (all) that they were
doing against the Believers.
وَمَا نَقَمُواْ مِنۡہُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤۡمِنُواْ
بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ
Wa-maa na-qo-mu
- min-hum il-laa an-yu'-minu
bil-laa-hil 'azee-zil- Ha-mee-d
And they ill-treated them for no other reason
than that they believed in Allah,
Exalted in Power, worthy of all Praise
ٱلَّذِى لَهُ ۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ۬ شَہِيدٌ
Al-ladzii- lahuu-mul-kus-sa-maa
-waa-ti wal-ardw - wal-Laahu 'alaa
-kul-li shay-'in sha-hee-d
Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the
heavens and the earth! and
Allah is Witness to all things
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُواْ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ
مَّ لَمۡ يَتُوبُواْ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ
وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ
In-nal-ladzii-na fatanul- mu'-minee
-na wal mu'-minaa-ti - thum-ma lam
ya-tuu-buu fala-hum 'azaa-bu
ja-han-nama wa-lahum 'azaa-
bul- Ha-ree-q
Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the
Believers, men and women and do not turn
in repentance, will have the Penalty
of Hell: they will have the Penalty
of the Burning Fire
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتٌ۬ تَجۡرِى مِن تَحۡتِہَا ٱلۡأَنۡہَـٰرُۚ
ذَٲلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ
In-nal-ladzii-na- aa-ma-nuu
wa- 'amilus-swo-li-Haa-ti la hum
jan-naa-tun taj-rii min taH-ti-hal
an-haa r
dzaa-likal- fau-Zul-
ka-bii-r
For those who believe and do righteous
deeds, will be Gardens Beneath which
Rivers flow: that is the great
Salvation (the fulfilment of all desires
إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
In-na batw-sha rob-bi-ka la-sha-dii-d
Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord
إِنَّهُ ۥ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
In-nahuu- hu-wa yub-di-u wa-yu-'ee-d
It is He Who creates from the very
beginning, and He can restore (life
وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ
Wa-huwal gha-fuu-rul wa-duu-d
And He is the Oft-Forgiving Full, of loving-kindness
ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِيدُ
Dzul- 'arshil- ma-jee-d
Lord of the Throne of Glory
فَعَّالٌ۬ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
Fa' - 'aa-lul- li-maa yu-ree-d
Doer (without let) of all that He intends
هَلۡ أَتَٮٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ
hal- a-taa-ka Ha-dee-thul ju-noo-d
Has the story reached thee, of the Forces
فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ
Fir-'au-na wa tha-muu-d
Of Pharaoh and the Thamud
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِى تَكۡذِيبٍ۬
وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآٮِٕہِم مُّحِيطُۢ
Ba-lil-la-dzii-na ka-fa-ruu fee-
tak-dzee-b, wal-Laa-hu miw-wa-ro
- i-him mu-Hii-tw
And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in
rejecting (the Truth) But
Allah doth encompass them from behind
بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانٌ۬ مَّجِيدٌ۬
Bal- huwa Qur-'aa-num-ma-jee-d
Nay this is a Glorious Qur'an
فِى لَوۡحٍ۬ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ
Fee- lau-Him- maH-fuZ
Inscribed in a Tablet Preserved
