QUR'AN: 91: Surah "ASH-SHAMS" (The Sun)

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَٱلشَّمۡسِ وَضُحَٮٰهَا

Wash-shamsi wa-dwu-Ha-ha

By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour;

وَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَٮٰهَا
Wal-qo-ma-ri idzaa - ta-laa-ha

By the Moon as it follow him;

وَٱلنَّہَارِ إِذَا جَلَّٮٰهَا

Wan-na-haa-ri idzaa jal-laa-haa

By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory;

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَغۡشَٮٰهَا

Wal-lai-li idzaa yagh-shaa- haa

By the Night as it conceals it;

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَٮٰهَا
Was-sa-maa-i wa-maa ba-naa-haa

By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure;

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحَٮٰهَا

Wal - ardwi - wa-maa twa-Ha-haa

By the Earth and its (wide) expanse;

وَنَفۡسٍ۬ وَمَا سَوَّٮٰهَا
Wan-naf-sim-wa-maa sau-waa-haa

By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it;

فَأَلۡهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقۡوَٮٰهَا
Fa- al-ha-ma-haa fu-juu-ro-haa wa-taq-waa-haa

And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right;―

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن زَكَّٮٰهَا

Qod-af-la-ha-man-zak-kaa-haa

Truly he succeeds that purifies it,

وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَن دَسَّٮٰهَا

Wa qod-Haa-ba man das-saa-haa

And he fails that corrupts it!

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِطَغۡوَٮٰهَآ
Kadz-dz-bat- tha-muu-du bi-tagh-waa-haa

The Thamud (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing

إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشۡقَٮٰهَا

I-dzim- ba-a-tha- ash-qo-haa

Behold the most wicked Man among them was deputed (for impiety).

فَقَالَ لَهُمۡ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقۡيَـٰهَا

Fa-qo-la-la-hum ro-suu-lullaa-hi naa-qo-tallaahi wa suq-yaa-haa

But the messenger of Allah said to them: "It is a She-camel of Allah!
and (bar her not from) having her drink!"

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ
رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوَّٮٰهَا

Fa-kadz-dza-buu-hu fa-'aqo-ruu-haa fa-dam-dama- 'alay-him rob-bu-hum bi-dzam-bihim fa-sau-waa-haa

Then they rejected him (as a false prophet),
and they hamstrung her.
So their Lord, on account of their crime,
obliterated their traces
and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)!

وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقۡبَـٰهَا

Wa-laa ya-kho-fu - 'uq-baa-haa

And for Him is no fear of its consequences.

Surah 91 Ash -Shams - Abdul Basit

QUR'AN: 99: "Al-Zalzalah" (The Quake)

al-ZalzalahQ99Husairy -

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

.

إِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَا

.

I-dza-zul- zi-la-til- ardwu- zil-zaa-la-haa

1. When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion,

.

وَأَخۡرَجَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَثۡقَالَهَا

.

Wa-akh-ro-ja-til - ardwu ath- qaa-la-haa

2. And the earth throws up her burdens (from within),

.

وَقَالَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا

.

Wa- qaa-lal- in-saa-nu- maa-la-haa

3. And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'-

.

يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ تُحَدِّثُ أَخۡبَارَهَا

.

Yau- ma-i-dzin tu-Had-di-thu akh-baa-ro-ha

4. On that Day will she declare her tidings:

.

.

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوۡحَىٰ لَهَا

.

Bi- an-na rob-ba-ka au-Haa- la-haa

5. For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration.

.

يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ يَصۡدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشۡتَاتً۬ا لِّيُرَوۡاْ

أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ

.

Yau- ma- idzin- yasw-du-run-naa-su

ash-taa- taan li-yu-rau- a'-maa- la-hum

6. On that Day will men proceed in groups sorted out,

to be shown the deeds that they (had done).

.

فَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرً۬ا يَرَهُ ۥ

.

Fa-man ya'-maa- mith- qaa- la dzar-

ro-tin khay-ronyara

7. Then shall anyone who has done

.

an atom's weight of good, see it!

.

وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ۬ شَرًّ۬ا يَرَهُ ۥ

.

Wa-man ya' maa- mith-qaa-la dzar-

rotin-shar-ronyarah

8. And anyone who has done an

.

atom's weight of evil, shall see it.

ABDUS-SOMAD:

Surah 99 - Az Zalzalah - Abdul Basit

QUR'AN: 100: Surah "AL-'AADIYAT" (The Cavalry charge)

-------------------------------------------------

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَٱلۡعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبۡحً۬ا

Wal- 'aa-di-yaa-ti dwab- Haa

1. By the (Steeds) that run,

with panting (breath),

فَٱلۡمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدۡحً۬ا

Fal- muu- ri- yaa-ti qod-Haa

2. And strike sparks of fire,

فَٱلۡمُغِيرَٲتِ صُبۡحً۬ا

Fal- muu- ghi- raa- ti- swub- Haa

3. And push home the charge

in the early morning (dawn),

فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعً۬ا

Fa- a- thar -na bi-hii- naq- 'aa

4. And raise the dust in clouds the while,

فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًا

Fa- wa- satw- na-bi- hii- jam-'aa

5. And penetrate forthwith into the

midst (of the foe) en masse;-

إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ۬

In- nal- in-saa-na li-rob- bi-hii

la-ka-nuu-d

6. Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;

وَإِنَّهُ ۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٲلِكَ لَشَہِيدٌ۬

Wa- in- na-huu- 'alaa-dzaa-

lika la- sha-hee-d

7. And to that (fact) he bears

witness (by his deeds);

وَإِنَّهُ ۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

Wa- in-na-huu- li- Hub-bil

khay-ri la-sha-dee-d

8. And violent is he in his love of wealth.

أَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلۡقُبُورِ

Afalaa- ya'-lamu- idzaa- bu' -thi-

ro-maa- fil- qu- boo-r

9. Does he not know,- when that which is

in the graves is scattered abroad

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ

Wa- Husw-swi-la-maa fis-

swu-doo-r

10. And that which is (locked up) in

(human) breasts is made manifest-

إِنَّ رَبَّہُم بِہِمۡ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لَّخَبِيرُۢ

In-na rob-bahum- bi-him yau- ma-

i-dzin- la- Ha-bii-r

11. That their Lord had been Well-acquainted

with them, (even to) that Day?

QUR'AN: 101: Surah "AL-QAA-RI'AH" (The Clamour)

------------------------------------------------

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

Al-Qaa-ri- 'ah

1. The (Day) of Clamour:

مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

Mal-qaa-ri-'ah

2. What is the (Day) of Clamor?

وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

Wa-maa - ad-raa-ka mal- qaa-ri-'ah

3. And what will explain to thee what

the (Day) of Clamor is?

يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ ڪَٱلۡفَرَاشِ

ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ

Yau-ma ya-kuu-nun-naa- sa- kal

fa-raa shil- mab- thuu-th

4. (It is) a Day whereon men will be

like moths scattered about,

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ

Wa- ta-kuu-nul- ji-baa-li

5. And the mountains will be

ڪَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ

Kal- 'ih- nil- man- fuu-s

like carded wool.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٲزِينُهُ ۥ

Fa- am- maa- man tha-ku-lat

ma-waa-zee-nu-h

6. Then, he whose balance (of good deeds)

will be (found) heavy,

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ۬ رَّاضِيَةٍ۬

Fa- hu-wa fee- 'ee-sha-tin- raa- dwi-yah

7. Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction.

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٲزِينُهُ ۥ

Wa- am- maa- man-khaf-fat

ma-waa- zee-nuh

8. But he whose balance (of good deeds)

will be (found) light,-

فَأُمُّهُ ۥ هَاوِيَةٌ۬

Fa- um-mu- huu- haa- wi-yah

9. Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ

Wa- maa ad-raa-ka maa- hi-ya

10. And what will explain to thee what this is?

نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ

Naa-roon- Haa- miya

11. (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely!

Quran: 101:al-Qariah -

SURAH "AL--IKHLASW", "AL-FALAQ" & "AN-NAAS" -known as the 3 Qul's

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Qul huwAlLaa-hu aHad

1. Say: He is Allah, the One;

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

AlLaa-hus-swomad

2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ

Lam yalid -wa lam yuu-lad

3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُ ۥ ڪُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

Wa lam ya-kunlahuu ku-fu-wan aHad

4. And there is none like unto Him.

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ

Qul a-'uu-dzubi rob-bil fa-laq

1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn,

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Min-shar-ri maa-kholaq

2. From the mischief of created things;

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

Wa minshar-ri ghaa-si-qin idzaa wa-qab

3. From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلۡعُقَدِ

Wa minshar-rin naf-faa- thaa-ti-fil- 'uqod

4. From the mischief of those who blow

on knots (i.e. practising sorcery);

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

Wa minshar-ri Haa-si-din i-dzaa Hasad

5. And from the mischief of the envious one

as he practices envy.

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

Qul a-'uu-dzu bi-rob-bin-naa-s

1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and

Cherisher of Mankind,

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ

Ma-li-kin-naa-s

2. The King (or Ruler) of Mankind,

إِلَـٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ

Ilaa-hin-naa-s

3. The God (or Judge) of Mankind,-

مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ

Minshar-ril was-waa-sil khon-naa-s

4. From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil),

who withdraws (after his whisper),-

ٱلَّذِى يُوَسۡوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ

Al-ladzii- yu-was wisu fee- swu-duu rin- naa-s

5. Who whispers into the hearts of Mankind,-

مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ

Minal jin-na-ti wan naa-s

6. Among Jinns and among Men.
