بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
هَلۡ أَتَٮٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَـٰشِيَةِ
hal- ataa-kal- Hadee-thul-ghaa-siyah
Has the story reached thee, of the Overwhelming (Event)?t
وُجُوهٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ خَـٰشِعَةٌ
Wu-juu-hun-yau ma-idzin- kho -shi-'ah
Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated
عَامِلَةٌ۬ نَّاصِبَةٌ۬
Aa-mi-latun-naa-swi-bah '
Labouring (hard) weary
تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً۬
Tasw-laa naa-ron- Haa-mi-ya
The while they enter the Blazing Fire
―
تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٍ۬
Tus-qo-min-'ay-nin aa-ni-ya
The while they are given, to drink,
of a boiling hot spring
لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ۬
Lai-sa la-hum twa-'aa-mun
il-laa min-dwa-ri'i
No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari
لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِى مِن جُوعٍ۬
Laa-yus-mi-nu wa-laa-yugh-nee min-juu'i
Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger
وُجُوهٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ نَّاعِمَةٌ۬
Wu-juu-hunyau-ma-idzin naa-'imah
Other faces that Day will be joyful
لِّسَعۡيِہَا رَاضِيَةٌ۬
Li-sa'-yi-haa ro-dwi-yah
Pleased with their Striving
فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ۬
Fee-jan-na-tin- 'aa-liyah
In a Garden on high
لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيہَا لَـٰغِيَةً۬
Laa-tas-ma-'u- fee-ha laa-ghi-yah
Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity
فِيہَا عَيۡنٌ۬ جَارِيَةٌ۬
Fee-haa -'ay-nun-jaa-riya
Therein will be a bubbling spring
فِيہَا سُرُرٌ۬ مَّرۡفُوعَةٌ۬
Fee-ha su-ru-rum-mar-fuu-'ah
Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised
on high
وَأَكۡوَابٌ۬ مَّوۡضُوعَةٌ۬
Wa-ak-waa-bum-maw-dwuu-'ah
Goblets placed (ready
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةٌ۬
Wa-na-maa-ri-qu-masw-fuu-fah
And Cushions set in rows
وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌ
Wa-za-ro-biy-yu mab-thuu-thah
And rich carpets (All) spread out
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ ڪَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ
A-fa-laa yan-zu-ruu-na
ilaal- ibili- kay-fa khu-li-qat
Do they not look at the Camels
how they are made ?
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ڪَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ
Wa-ilas-samaa-i-kay-fa ru-fi-'at
And at the Sky, how it is raised high
?
وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ
Wa-ilal- jibaa-li-kay-fa nu-swi-bat
And at the Mountains How they are fixed firm
?―
وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ
Wa-ilal- ardwi-kay-fa su-twi-Hat
And at the Earth, how it is spread out
?
فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَڪِّرٌ۬
Fa-dzak-kir in-namaa
anta mudzak-kir
Therefore do thou give admonition
for thou art one to admonish
لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ
Las-ta- 'alay-him- bi mu-swai-twir
Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ
Il-laa man-ta-wal-laa wa ka-far
But if any turn away and rejects Allah
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ
Fa-yu-'adz-dzi-bu-hulLaa-hul -'adzaa
-bal ak-bar
Allah will punish him with a
mighty Punishment
إِنَّ إِلَيۡنَآ إِيَابَہُمۡ
In-na- i-lai-naa - i-yaa-bahum
For to Us will be their Return
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَہُم
Tsum-ma in-na- 'alay-naa
Hi-saa-ba-hum
Then it will be for Us to call them to account
